I appreciate the fact that B/R doesn't want to spend any money on practically anything and enjoys the spirit of free labor in order to garner mounds of profits, but would it be too much to ask to get some decent editors? If not for everyone, at least for the FCs...

It's extremely frustrating when an editor, who clearly knows less about the writing and editing process than the writer, changes the headline because of some ill-applied regimented technique that they learned in B/R's online course. On top of that, having different editors disseminate conflicting information is extremely counterproductive, and I can imagine it's very misleading for inexperienced writers.

Either one of two things needs to happen: 1) have a higher standard for editors and create a system of checks and balances for them so they don't get too out of control OR 2) hire some paid, experienced editors who know what they are talking about.

Please do not reply with appeasement. It gets annoying after a while. "Robert, we understand you concern but we have some great editors and train them the best that we can. Please let us know if you have any further suggestions."

Let's actually do something about this, especially as B/R continues to transition to quality from quantity. You'll have a bunch of happier unpaid writers in that case...
